THE "CLASSIC" ROUTE
The hardest and longest route on the 1066 Cyclosportive.
This is not the route for anybody that hasn't done the proper training.
Last year we held this event in May and it proved to be too hard for some riders, so this year we've decided to hold it in July when everybody should be at their fittest.
So that's 2 extra months to get the training in to conquer ths 1066 Classic Route in 2015.
With 7517 feet of climbing on this circuit you will need to pace yourself. Don't get fooled by the first 25 miles which are relatively flat and fast. There are lots of tough, strength sapping short climbs afer the 25 miles mark will take the "zip" out of your legs if you're not careful.
So hopefully we haven't put you off, because if you are going well this is a really great route to ride in the heart of 1066 countryside. If the sun is out on this ride it really is just the best coutryside to be cycling in.
