RONDE PICARDE CYCLOSPORTIVE TRIP
DATE OF TRIP: 11-13/09/15
FIRST THINGS FIRST
All riders are required by the organisors of the Ronde Picarde, Sport Communication to have a signature of a doctor proving they are medically fit to take part in the Cyclosportive.
Just so you know we have taken part in this event for a number of years now and never been asked for a medical certificate. We would advise that you get a check up on your health from your doctor anyway just to make sure.
ITINERARY
Friday 11th September
We leave Brighton early to catch the euro-tunnel train from Folkstone at aproximately. After a 30 min stop for a coffee etc at the Eurotunnel service we will aim to catch the train at 10am. The trip in the tunnel takes about 45 min.
We will head straight to Abbeville to pick up our riders packs from the events start area. The trip from Calais to Abbeville takes about 2 hours.
We then head to the supermarket for food beer and wine before heading to our accomadation which is 25 min away from Abbeville.
After everybody has settled in a brief synopsis of the cyclosportive route will be given by SRS Events staff that have ridden the Ronde Picarde before.
We recommend that all riders go to bed early so that we can rise ready to dish out some pain the next day, or at least not experience too much pain ourselves.
Saturday 13th September
It's a 5.30am wake up call to leave at 6.30am for Abbeville.
Riders start turning up to the start at 7am the ride starts at 8am
We regroup after the ride at the finish area before cycling back to the start area paking up our bikes before heading back to base and a meal in the town or barbecue at our chalets.
